Python for Everybody: Exploring Data In Python 3

Python for Everyone is an introduction to the basics of coding in Python 3 with an emphasis on practical usage. It is intended as a foundation for students who are looking to apply Python within other academic subjects as well as in preparation for the serious study of computer science.

Additionally, the goal of this book is to provide an Informatics-oriented introduction to programming. The primary difference between a computer science approach and the Informatics approach taken in this book is a greater focus on using Python to solve data analysis problems common in the world of Informatics. The Python 2 version of the book is still available. There are multiple translations of the Python 2 book – the Python 3 version of the book has not been translated.

Writing programs (or programming) is a very creative and rewarding activity. You can write programs for many reasons, ranging from making your living to solving a difficult data analysis problem to having fun to helping someone else solve a problem. This book assumes that everyone needs to know how to program, and that once you know how to program you will figure out what you want to do with your newfound skills.
