The Open Bible – The Gospel Of Matthew

by Tosin Ojumu

The Open Bible Gospel of Matthew is a translation of the New Testament Book of Matthew in simple English that is easy to understand. It is produced to enable anyone to use as freely as they wish, to create video and audio recordings etc. Matthew is the first book of the New Testament, introducing us to the exciting and mysterious character of Jesus, and His amazing miracles and claims…

The book is a mixture of miraculous action and teaching, and includes the famous sermon on the Mount (Matt 5-7) where Jesus gave His radical commandments, which are as breathtaking today as they were all those years ago ‘Love your enemies….pray for those who persecute you’. Here we also encounter the parables of Jesus, including favourites such as the wise man who built his house upon a rock (Matthew 7) and the parable of the sower (Matthew 13)
