World AIDS Day is celebrated on December 1 with the common goal of spreading awareness and knowledge about HIV/AIDS prevention and control. The day is one of the eleven official global public health campaigns recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO). AIDS is estimated to have killed 36.3 million people between 27.2 million and 47.8 million people worldwide as of 2020. The death rate from the AIDS epidemic has decreased by 64% since its peak in 2004. In 2022, “Equalize” will be the theme for World AIDS Day.
The best thing that you can do to protect yourself if you think that you might be at risk is to be checked regularly by your doctor. Help spread awareness of ovarian cancer by being informed and educating others!
