North to the Boston Light

North to the Boston Light is a true swimming marathon adventure story. The Boston Light Swim an 8 mile swim from the famous Boston Lighthouse to Boston Harbor. It is the oldest marathon swim in the USA – it has attracted distance swimmers since 1907. Many distance swimmers successfully finish the Boston Light before their English Channel attempt, and, yes, many do not finish the Boston Light because the water temperature and currents are highly unpredictable. As for me, I swam a marathon in Alaska in 2008 and the Boston Light seemed like the perfect swimming challenge for me in 2009. Here is my attempt…
