Recently I found quite a number of nicely written and interesting articles on ebooks, covering various topics. I believe these articles apply for everybody as long as you write, own, read, download, searching or anything you can think of. One of them talks about so called ‘ebook downloader addicts’, self education through ebooks, piracy and many more. Anyway, if you have any comments or suggestions for each of the articles, feel free to leave it at the respective sites. Read on …

The Most Expensive Book in The World

It’s definitely an irony since I found this item on an April Fool’s day. Anyway, give your eyes a break from reading just for a while and take a look at this screenshot I’ve taken from Lulu.com, listing down perhaps the most expensive book in the world. I’m very sure it’s an error from their side, but it’s funny nevertheless, so do take a look. The ebook titled “Dreamstate: Mad Sparks 5″ apparently costs you $12,499,998.75 for the downloadable PDF version, and $12,500,005.75 for the paperback version. That’s $12.5 million! To add more fun to it, there are 2 reviews at the bottom of the page. Either they bought it when the price was still “normal”, or they just bought the most expensive book in their lives. An April Fool’s joke or an error from their side? You be the judge!

Anyway here’s the link to the page:-

Free Ebooks and Magazines from Amazon

This might come a bit too late in the sense that it’s an old news and most of you might heard of it and most probably have grabbed all of them in a flash. Don’t worry they’re still available for download so far and I have no idea if the download links will remain for a long time. This offer or partnership was started off in conjunction with 2009’s new year celebration (reported by QuickOnlineTips), and covers pretty much some of the top names in each of the industry. Some of the free stuff includes:-

  2. Redbook “Hot to Get Everything You Want in Life”
  3. Vegetarian Times “Eat Great, Lose Weight”
  4. Women’s Health “9 Fitness Rules You Should Break”
  5. Esquire “What You’ve Learned”
  6. GQ Style Guy Guide

Free Ebooks Poll Results

Free Ebooks Poll Results

The poll has started around 3 months ago and clearly Educational Ebooks are leading the way, followed by Novels & Fictions and Computers & Internet. Probably I should start looking at the numbers and start concentrating on the main requests so far. The thing is educational or computers might somehow be a little bit too general, so if you can leave some comments here on what do you really need or want, in a more specific way, that’d help greatly in the future when I try to update the list of free ebooks here.

However, while waiting for me to do that, Google Book Search should be able to satisfy some of you at the moment. I know I’ve mentioned it before over here, but judging at how it has been growing, I think it deserves another mention. A quick glance over the categories, Google Book Search should be able to provide a huge list of information in both Educational and Fiction / Non Fiction categories.

So wait no longer and jump over to Google Book Search and start reading your heart out. And yes it’s totally free.
